"I have been given this product as part of a product review through the Chronic Illness Bloggers network. Although the product was a gift, all opinions in this review remain my own and I was in no way influenced by the company."
Guys! I’m so excited for this review! Firstly, I’d like to thank AxonOptics for working with me on this and for sending me their product, I’m so so so grateful! I am in love with these glasses! As I’ve mentioned before, I suffer from chronic migraines and they run in my family. Even before I started being symptomatic, I watched my mother be completely destroyed when they set in. I am light sensitive even when I don’t have a migraine (my phone and laptop are always on lowest light setting and now, Nightmode). I think my worst enemy is the fluorescent lighting at school. I can take medication to manage the pain or just sleep it away but the light at school cant be avoided. I’d love to just stuff my face in my sweatshirt during class, but I can’t do that in my AP classes. My teachers try to accommodate me but they can't just turn off the light when things need to get done. That’s really why I love these glasses. The presentation is fabulous! They come in this wonderful little case, with a cleaning cloth and an informational little card with the FAQs. I got the glasses in the Airplex frame and I love love love them! I have to admit, I don't know why, but I thought the lenses would be clear, which is a little disappointing for aesthetic purposes, but I’ve gotten over it. They are super lightweight, which makes them easy to carry around, and the relief! The relief on my eyes is immediate. The only way I can explain it is that my eyeballs feel at ease. It’s something I’ve never noticed, the strain the light puts on my eyes, but now I notice it whenever I’m NOT wearing the migraine glasses. I wear them during a migraine, when I’m not having a migraine, since I find them so useful for day-to-day tasks. If you aren't a fan of the frame I chose, AxonOptics has over 10 different frame options, and you can even send in your own frame to be specially fitted with their FL-41 tint. Within that, they have a ton of options for size, color and indoor/outdoor use. You can buy them from the Axon Optics Website or on Amazon. The frame is also really comfortable, it doesn't really feel like you're wearing any kind of glasses, and they don't move around too much, which is something I find glasses do a lot, especially if you’re sweaty or oily. Overall, I just really love these glasses and will definitely be using them often! I really suggest you check them out and find a pair for yourself! Thank you for the support from AxonOptics and Julie at Chronic Illness bloggers, I’m so excited for the opportunity!
