You Don't Know Me (Poem)

You don't know me
I have the same face
Wear the same clothes
Sit in the same seats.
I listen to the same music
Like the same movies
And laugh at the same jokes
But you don't know me
I hold back tears and screams in that face
I wear bandages, braces, and electrodes under my clothes
All my muscles are on fire, while I sit calmly in my seat.
I get 20 vials of blood taken out every month, while I listen to that music
I watch that same movie 20 times, because the pain doesn't let me concentrate
While I laugh at that joke, I want to scream, because there's chewing gum stuck in my brain. I don't even understand your words.
You know me.
You think you know exactly how I work.
You've known me for years.
I'm not the same person you used to know.
My life is a satirical movie, and you don't even know that you're the audience.
Then again, you know me.
